As a Bears fan, I admired #4 during his time with the Packers. I hated him, but I respected him. When he retired the first time, I was excited that the Bears defense wouldn't have to see #4 across the line twice a year.
But then he came back. I didn't really care too much. Thought he handled the situation a little poorly, but I couldn't really blame him if he wanted to play and someone was willing to pay him, fine.
Then he retired again. And came back again, with the Vikings. The whole situation was awful, in my humble opinion. And my feeling had nothing to do with being a Bears fan. The way he played with the Jets and his last couple of years with the Packers, I was excited to see the Bears Secondary take a few INTs back to house.
If he had been honest, and just said what everybody knows, I might not have been as upset. Everyone knows that he just doesn't want to go through training camp.
Now, the Vikings send three players to kiss his butt and he flies to Minnesota, probably to announce that he's going to play. Of course, training camp just ended.
