I made some good progress on typing up the fiction story I began typing a couple of weeks ago. I'm to a point where I was thinking of going in another direction. In fact, I think I'll get back on that right now.
I started writing these blog updates on my writing progress to motivate myself to keep writing. I think they have been successful, but they are getting pretty repetitive. I've decided to stop doing weekly updates, but if something significant pops up in my writing, I'll be sure to share it with all of my loyal readers. Whoever you are.

Well, I forgot to do my update. There wasn't a whole lot to update from last week. I have been pretty good about getting Examiner articles written. I'm getting a couple a week up on the site. I haven't had a chance to get to my fiction, and I've been battling a sinus issue for the past few days, just struggling to breathe, let alone think creatively. I took today off to get ready to leave for a quick tour of the family sites in Western Kentucky over the holiday weekend. Since the wife is working and the kiddo is playing with his friends at daycare, I got some writing done.
I published another article on the Examiner site, the second of the week. I also worked on some instructions for Facebook fan pages. And I'm taking a break right now from typing up my longhand version of one of my fiction stories. This has been a good thing for me. I am tweaking a few things, but it's really been helpful to have most of the ideas already done and just transcribing the rest of it. I'm still tweaking my writing patterns, but I'm improving them I think. I started doing this with the Examiner artilces as well. I'll write them out, then type them up and post them. I type pretty darn fast, but apparently, my brain works better when I'm writing. Added bonus for the off day today, I'm writing this from my front porch, it's a gorgeous day out today. Sunshine, a little breeze and a cold bottle of water. Oh, and using my cell phone as a paperweight. Could that be irony? Probably not. But it strikes me as a little bit funny. |
